Very well done museum. Great information about the ship and those who have served the country from the state of Louisiana. The ship was fun to tour. Tons of ladders to climb that are steep and narrow.Full review by NMkitten

USS KIDD (DD-661) can be viewed both afloat and high and dry in her unique cradle system that she rests in when the Mississippi River reaches its seasonal low each year. The …

USS KIDD (DD-661) can be viewed both afloat and high and dry in her unique cradle system that she rests in when the Mississippi River reaches its seasonal low each year. The system has been featured in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not!" The river has a difference of 40 feet in Baton Rouge between high water in the spring and low water in the fall and winter.
