I went on a free day and found it crowded but still fun. We had plenty of opportunity to view the animals and exhibits, walk the dinosaur trail, and enjoy the mist area. The butterfly garden was very populat, deservedly so.
Does this Museum have enough to do to keep a preschooler (4-5 years old) entertained for 2-3 hours?

Yes, there is a lot to do like learning how washing hands help you, learning about stress, space, and movie making. There is also an outside section with dinosaurs, and farm animals.

This would be fun for little ones, maybe 7 and under. we took our 8 and 10 year old, neither of which I would describe as overly mature or jaded, and I would say that the most we could get out of it would be about 2 hours. We did what was on offer, and the wait time was pretty long for the train. overall I found the expense to be greater than the value of the adventure. The inside of the museum is not available during this time.
