This would be my first time swimming within a mile of a shark. Considering there are over 20-100 species of shark living in Florida's waters, I would like to know what would happen if a really dangerous shark such as the Great White came along and we were in the water. Is there any sort of instructions to get out of the water quickly and not drawing attention?
A:
I agree with the last person's response.

Thanks for the post. We have great shark diving year round! We see Tiger and Great Hammers year round but the beat time to see those two species specifically are the winter, spring and early summer. Aside from those two species we have Bull, Dusky, Silky, Lemon, Reef, Scalloped Hammers, Smooth Hammers, and Sandbar Sharks at different times of the year as well! Never a shortage of sharks here!!

The rope you hold onto doesn’t help you float, it just keeps you from drifting away. I’m not a strong swimmer but I can swim to keep myself afloat, etc. I opted for one of the life jackets they offered and it helped me float on my stomach, rather than feel like I was sinking. There were flat seas on my trip, but I think overall you would be okay with a life jacket!
