We drove up to the falls on Christmas Day. Along the way we were intercepted by a vendor on a motorcycle that got asked to park at his place. After speaking with him a little bit, we decided that’s n… Full review by gregsS442RI

We bought this tour from Bahia resort. Description was great but nothing close to reality. It didn’t start at El Limón Villa with tea. It was alternative entrance. There was no chance of hiking. Hors… Full review by AFS-06-2014

My question is whats the health of these poor horses , some of them look so under nourished ? Not to mention the weight of some of these people on what seems to be a very small horse for the size it's carrying. This is a very sad sight indeed.

Thank you for that Profeta , to be very clear my view is not a narrow view as you put and therefore provided you with some simple guidelines around the correct weight horses should be carry or in this case should NOT! In simple terms and in most circumstances the BHS recommends that a horse or pony is regularly asked to carry no more than:  10% of its ideal bodyweight if performing at an extremely high intensity (e.g. elite competition)  18% of its ideal bodyweight in other circumstances These figures are not inclusive of the horse’s tack and allowances should be made if the horse is required to wear unusually heavy tack. It is vital that these calculations are based on ideal rather than actual bodyweight of the horse. A horse that is significantly overweight will not be sufficiently fit to carry 15% of its obese bodyweight. A horse that is significantly underweight should not be ridden.

Hello! If we are panning to hike on our own, can we bring our dog? She loves to hike and is very friendly. Thank you.

Hello. I can see no reason why a dog would not be permitted. I think there are several routes to the waterfall. We took the mule route and I suspect that the hiking route might be from a different access point but you'd have to ask locally. This is not an excursion for children under 10 I would suggest...unless they have been to pony camp!
